What is The Buzz?

Big and tall with elite ball skills, can fit his skillset to any need in the WR corps.

Pass Catching Report

Coleman is athletically gifted; he excelled in basketball along with football using his exceptional vertical to get “above-the-rim.” With his unique skillset, he has the knack to highpoint the ball to perfection being able to outjump receivers and control his body resulting in some outrageous catches. What he lacked in overall yardage he made up for in touchdowns. He had a slew of different QB play in college; at Michigan State he had subpar QB play but was able to snag 7 TDs in his sophomore season. He then transferred to Florida State where Jordan Travis found Coleman as his favorite red-zone target resulting in 11 receiving TDs (Travis threw for 20 TDs in ‘23) He also excelled in special teams as a return man.

Where Does He Fall Short?

He’s not quick to get off the line-of-scrimmage and finds it hard to create separation. This probably leads to the lack of receptions. Defensive backs are able to use this to their advantage to jam Coleman early knowing he also lacks elite speed to blow by. He lacks aggression against defenders to create space and make catches. Will force the QB to put the ball in a specific spot for him.
