2024 Fantasy Outlook:

The biggest surprise of the offseason for Dallas was the lack of a big move at the RB position. After losing Tony Pollard to the Titans, the Cowboys did not draft a RB and only resigned Zeke Elliot and Dalvin Cook. I personally believe that Rico Dowdle will end up being the best fantasy back for Dallas because Zeke and Cook are well past their primes.

That being said about the running game, the passing attack should be among the heaviest volume in the league which is great for fantasy. Here our the key Dallas players and a quick take in their most current ADP according to Sleeper redraft:

Ceedee Lamb: WR 2 (3 OVR)

Lamb was a monster last year especially over the second half. He gave you everything you want. High volume of receptions and tons of yards and TDs. Unfortunately Lamb held out and was not with the team for any preseason or training camp activities and only signed and rejoined the team in the last week. Holdout players have a notably higher risk of soft tissue IE groin and hamstring problems than players who were with the team for the whole offseason program. Because of that I personally lean towards Tyreek Hill or Breece Hall if I am picking in that 2-4 range but Lamb is arguably now the top WR in the league and will never fall past pick 3-5.

Dak Prescott: QB 9 (77 OVR)

Dak is a very safe and consistent option for fantasy. He won’t give you much of anything on the ground but is always a threat to lead the league in passing yardage and TDs. I prefer to draft QBs with some rushing upside but Dak is a rock solid pick at his price range and if I do end up with Lamb I look to stack him with Prescott.

Jake Ferguson: TE 10 (85 OVR)

Ferguson is my most often drafted Dallas player. He should be the clear second option in a heavy passing scheme and he is generally available to be taken if you are one of the final teams in your league to take your TE. Waiting on Ferguson allows you to stack up studs at the other positions and still have a very solid TE. He is my favorite Cowboy to draft.

Ezekiel Elliot RB 38 (110 OVR)

Rico Dowdle RB 45 (134 OVR)

The Dallas backfield is generally a great play for fantasy. This year isn’t looking like much of a winner but the very low ADP of Zeke and Dowdle reflects that. I am perfectly fine drafting either as bench depth especially in hero or zero RB builds. I do prefer Dowdle and believe he will end up as the top back in Dallas for fantasy.

Brandin Cooks WR 62 (147 OVR)

Cooks flashed with a few big games last year but it was mainly on the back of TDs. He is a fine late pick in normal 12 team redraft but I would much more prefer him in best ball leagues. If Lamb does end up suffering any type of early season injury< Cooks would be a top waiver add.

That is all I have on the 2024 Dallas Cowboys
