Brooks sat behind both Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson at Texas but as a junior he racked up an impressive 1139 yards rushing at a avg of 6.1 YPC. Adding in 25 receptions and 286 yards as a receiver out of the backfield he showed his versatility. Unfortunately he injured his ACL, but he expects to be cleared by July 1st.
Strengths:
1. Great agility and vision: He is a threat both inside and outside the tackles.
2. Great in play action: Incredible aptitude in different offensive schemes.
3. Hands: Soft hands and a very nice catch radius for an RB, able to catch off target throws and make defenders miss.
4. Physicality: He’s shown that he’s able to be physical between the tackles making him a potential 3 down back when needed.
Weaknesses:
1. One year starter: We only have a limited offering from Brooks to evaluate.
2. Talent rich offense: Being that Texas boasts a very skilled offensive group, could be covering up some deficiencies in his game.
3. Injury history: Coming off an ACL will make him a slow starter.
