The jets entered the 2022 season as an up and coming team that was developing and building, with a ton of high potential players all over the roster. The jets entered the season with young players taking on big roles on both sides of the ball.

Expectations were not high in 2022, but the jets were thought to be on the rise, with a lot riding on the arm of 2nd year QB Zach Wilson. Zach Wilson flamed out and between injuries and benching lost the job to both Mike White, joe Flacco, and even Chris Streveler. The team was very good in almost every way except for at the most important position, Quarterback. The jets finished the 2022 season with a 7-10 record which was last place in the

AFC East.

The impact of the 2022 jets rookies can not be understated. With 4 picks in the top 36 the jets loaded up on young talent in the draft.

The Jets finished with both the offensive and Defensive rookies of the year in WR Garrett Wilson and CB Sauce Gardner. Rookie running back Breece Hall was having a great season until an ACL injury knocked him out for the season. He should bounce back strong and hopefully be fully ready to go in week 1 of 2023. Rookie DE Jermaine Johnson also had a promising season playing along an already stacked defensive line.

The defense is poised to be a top unit in 2023 and should be a headache for almost every team they face this season. With playmakers at every level of the D and really good coaching, I predict the jets will have a top 5 defense in real life and for fantasy purposes.

Players with the most potential fantasy impact include QB Aaron Rodgers, WR Garrett Wilson, RB Breece Hall, CB Sauce Gardner (idp).

This team is strong on both sides of the ball and has an impressive amount of young talented players. As a team that was viewed as only a Quarterback away, the addition of QB Aaron Rodgers on paper at least is the one missing piece they needed. The addition of Rodgers should be exactly what the jets need to propel to the next level and possibly their first playoff birth since 2010.

I think the jets will surprise a lot of people this season and exceed most expectations. Rodgers still has something to prove, and has the playmakers at his disposal to put it all together. This is a very intriguing team in 2023 with the highest expectations they've had in over a decade.
