Penix is coming off of his 6th collegiate, and undoubtedly most productive, season where he led the Washington Huskies to the National Championship game. His arm played a huge role to the success of their season where he led the NCAA in passing yards (4,903). This season followed up a He had three NFL-level receivers in his final season under center which helped his cause, but he utilized his talent around him to the utmost potential. He is a proven winner that has proven to fight through the adversity of injury.
Where Does He Fall Short?
If Penix is not put in a system with a great supporting cast, he has the potential to struggle. Before transferring to Washington, Penix led Indiana with a lack of playmakers where he had a 4:7 TD to INT ratio before injury took him out for the remainder of the season.
